Privacy Policy
This policy explains what AmbosLive collects while we run our waitlist, why, and the choices you have. We'll update it before the app opens to cover video calls, accounts and payments, and we'll email everyone on the waitlist when we do.
Who we are
AmbosLive is operated by HPAC. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@amboslive.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address.
- The language you speak and the language you want to practice.
- Your confirmation that you're 18 or older.
- The country you joined from, worked out from your internet connection. We don't store your IP address.
- The date you joined.
- Which of our links brought you to the site, if any, such as one of our videos.
Why we collect it
- To email your invitation when AmbosLive opens for your language.
- To send occasional launch news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To decide which languages and countries to open first, using totals, not individual details.
We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Who handles it for us
Our website and waitlist database are hosted by Cloudflare. When we send invitations, we'll use an email delivery service that sends messages on our behalf. These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so visiting doesn't send your details to other companies. If we ever add cookies that aren't essential, we'll ask you first.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until AmbosLive opens for your language and you've had a chance to accept your invitation, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you don't create an account within 12 months of your invitation, we delete your details.
Your choices and rights
- Ask for a copy of the details we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete them.
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
Email hello@amboslive.com from the address you signed up with, and we'll act on your request within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Adults only
AmbosLive is for people 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has joined the waitlist, we delete their details.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll email you before they take effect.
